Camp&Stay

Are you ready for the summer of your life? Our surf camps for children and teenagers at BeachBreak are an annual success story. We offer the best Surf Camp in the Netherlands with high-quality activities led by qualified instructors. By working in small groups, we guarantee plenty of personal attention for each participant. Our surf camps provide a sporty and challenging week where you can learn a lot while having fun and surfing are always at the forefront. With us, it’s not about building sandcastles, but about real cool activities with that extra bit of substance.

In 2024, we once again offer the opportunity for participants aged 10 and above to stay overnight in our Pop-Up Surf Hostel. This location has all the facilities to ensure an unforgettable week.

Camp&Stay

Participants aged 10-12 & 13-15 & 16-17 years

We have three age groups for Camp&Stay: 10-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16-17 years. For these participants, a special program has been developed where the lessons and activities are tailored to their individual levels. The group is divided into three age categories so that participants can engage in activities with their peers. While surfing and having fun are central, there are also other interesting activities on the agenda. Participants stay at the specially set up Rip Curl Base Camp, ensuring they are fully occupied for the entire midweek.

Lunch and some activities are done together with boys and girls from other age categories.

Program of the Surf Camp

You will receive lessons at your own level, participating with peers of your own age. Your instructor will help you, for example, to paddle into a green wave, surf down the line, and perhaps even make your first bottom turn. The group will be divided based on skill level, so you’ll be challenged and pushed to take an extra step. By organizing the program by age group and skill level, everyone has their own challenge. In addition to surfing, we will also engage in other activities. In the evenings, we dine together and participate in an evening program. The evening program includes activities such as a ghost tour, talent show, movie and game nights.

Some of the activities we offer include:

Surfing
Power kiting
Surf skating
Surf theory
External activities
ArcheryTag
Bubble soccer
Expeditie Robinson (an outdoor adventure game)
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP)
Rafting
Mega SUP (paddleboarding on a large, multi-person board)

Food and drinks are included.

Our challenging activities throughout the day require adequate nutrition and rest. That’s why we provide our participants with healthy meals and snacks during the camp. Lunch and snacks are included in the camp, and our bread is freshly delivered daily by a local bakery. Additionally, fruit is replenished daily to ensure that participants receive enough vitamins. Of course, participants are also free to bring their own extra treats.

Certified instructors and supervision

All our instructors have completed training as SLSA Lifeguards and ISA/ASI surf coaches or equivalent certification. Additionally, our surf coaches have extensive experience with camps, having worked in our camps before or organized camps elsewhere.

Location of the surf camp

For the third year in a row, we have entered into a collaboration with Scouting Norvicus. During the summer months, the clubhouse is transformed into a Pop-Up Surf Hostel. Norvicus is located within cycling distance from our watersports center and is situated on a beautiful, spacious terrain. It’s the perfect location to unwind and refresh after a day full of activities. Our hostel features recently renovated toilets and showers, a spacious professional kitchen, and a large grass field with a fire pit. Participants will sleep in tents on the premises with the option to use the dormitories in case of bad weather. In the evenings, we provide dinner and evening snacks, and we have prepared a varied and attractive evening program.

Transportation between the surf hostel and our watersports center is done by bike. If you don’t have a bike or are unable to bring one to the camp, we offer the option to rent a bike for the entire week for €50. It is advisable to reserve the bike in advance to avoid disappointment.

Costs Camp&Stay

The Camp&Stay week runs from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon. The all-inclusive price is 625 euros. There are no additional costs for activities.
