Beach Break owes its name to pioneer Hank Snel. In 1998, he started the Beach Break Surf & Cult shop in Noordwijk aan Zee. At the same time, one of the first kite surfing schools in the Netherlands was launched. The activities moved to the sea in 2004.

Beach Break began as a couple of sea containers for storing materials. Especially in recent years, and since 2016, the water sports hotspot and Beach Café have been active in their current form. Under the leadership of Aren Lee Wilson and Cesar Smits, there has been a significant added value in terms of hospitality, meeting, water sports, and enjoying excellent cuisine.

Aren Lee Wilson and Cesar Smits have grown up with the sea, and they have been shaped by the relaxed vibe that characterizes the small surf paradises while traveling and surfing around the world. And that typical laid-back atmosphere, along with the consciousness in food and hospitality, is now the heart of Beach Break.

Beach Break is located on a calm and free part of the Noordwijk beach. It offers more than just surfing and kite surfing. The sea offers more opportunities for relaxation and sporting challenges. Sea kayaking, SUP, rafting, these are just a few options to challenge yourself. But also, with a good book, you are more than welcome!

The team consists of experienced instructors and a hospitable crew. They are happy to help you with everything that makes your day brighter. Come for sports, for gathering, or just to escape the hustle and bustle of the day.
